Budo Kai JuJitsu is a Traditional form of Japanese JuJitsu. Our traditional form of JuJitsu is probably not what your pre-concieved idea of what "JuJitsu" is in general. To best understand how what we do differs from most others', you have to understand this: our art is NOT focused on sport, but rather as a combative art.

 

   You will learn: Striking (kicks/punches), Throws/takedowns, Joint Manipulations (joint locking), Pressure Point use (strikes and pain compliance), Weapons (use of weapons), Weapon Disarms/Retention

, and Ground Techniques.

 

    For obvious reasons, the curriculum we choose to teach any student within the Budo Kai JuJitsu program is dependent upon several factors of that individual (adults included), including: age, maturity, control, character, etc.. Therefore, our younger students will receive more of a 'sport jujitsu' curriculum and training, at least until they have proven that they are responsible enough to receive some of the more dangerous aspects of the art. With great power, comes great responsibility. We wish no harm upon anyone, and will not tolerate any students' misuse of their training. We will not hesitate to cease all training of any student that proves themselves unfit of the responsibilities placed upon them with the knowledge given.
